Terrible experience. I've always had a healthy set of teeth and gums. I keep up with my dental care, I went in for a routine cleaning and was quoted $900 WITH INSURANCE. As soon as I walked in Norma the receptionist had me call my insurance and set their practice as my primary dental group, (this was after my insurance had been verified days ago) as I was doing that she asked me for my pharmacy information, I wrote down what she needed and she gave me attitude for not including the complete address or phone#, (I was still otp with my insurance, she had a computer in front of her and told her to Google it) it seemed like she did not want to work at all. I then go back for X-rays, exam and what I thought a routine cleaning. In the back everyone was really friendly, professional and thorough. X rays were normal, no cavities or infection on visual examination. I then talked to a gum specialist who said I had been doing a good job with my cleaning and recommended a night guard, at this point I had talked to 4 ppl (Norma, X-ray tech, hygienist, and gum specialists and still no cleaning whatsoever.) Gum specialist then tells me Norma will be back to go over pricing. Norma comes back and quotes me $400 for a deep cleaning and another $400 for a night guard, I laugh and tell her I'm not paying that. I tell her again I just want my routine preventative care (I pay for my dental insurance so I expect to receive care that I'm paying for) she tells me they can't do a routine cleaning because "they might push bacteria into my gums" AGAIN I HAVE A HEALTHY MOUTH, NO CAVITIES OR INFECTIONS. The mouth is not a sterile place everyone has some sort of bacteria living in there, that is not abnormal, so for them to not even brush my teeth or at least give me some sort of mouthwash is crazy. I used up my routine exam on them and got nothing. Please do not come to this place, they will try and rip you off. After I left I asked Norma for an itemized copy of my visit, it's been 3 days and still have nothing.

Southern Dental employees have excellent customer service skills. Ms. Jessica in the front was very polite, competent, and personable. Ms. Sue was very knowledgeable, personal, and professional. They took time to educate me to ensure the best dental care that I have ever received! If you are searching for a place, I highly recommend them.

The staff was amazing!!! Jessica helped my mother and I a-lot . The Dr also listens to your concerns and explains it very well . Ms. Sue was also amazing she knew i was nervous and tried to calm me down the best she could. 10/10 recommend!!!

First visit went very well, hospitality and care from the front desk(Ms Norma) to the very end. I'm was impressed with the first impression, wasn't crowded and went smoothly even though I was unable to start my treatment plan yet I have a clear plan and know where I stand.
No unnecessary fillers and prices points, straight to the point and given a complete vision for my dental needs. In house finance options, etc. Excellent visit. Until next time, thank you for truly making me feel at home. Dentist office normally make me so nervous.
Finally an affordable, pleasant dental visit. Hats off to Nala Simmons & crew🤭

Jessica at southern dental is amazing. She always has a smile on her face and always makes you feel at home when entering the office. She is very informative and will break down any questions that you have about your bill and the services that are offered. Sue is the only dentist I trust. She is very detailed oriented when it comes to taking care of your teeth. She is very gentle when it comes to cleaning, and does an excellent job. She’s the only dentist that I have been to that does not make you bad for when you mess up in your oral care. Instead she helps you create good habits that will last a lifetime. Love this placeeee!
